Our George Street Building is now closed for refurbishment until December. Until then you can find us at 58 Shandwick Place - formerly St George's West.
On Saturday 26 May we're having an open day at Shandwick Place. Come and see us there - if you can find us in the middle of the tramworks.
Some things might surprise you about St Andrew's and St George's West.
Do you know that
we are friends with other faith communities in the city. We've exchanged visits to the mosque and the synagogue and the Rabbi has spoken at one of our main worship services
we are an ecocongregation and we care about green issues. We recently hosted a seminar about climate change involving MPs and MSPs - followed up by a question raised at Westminster
we regularly put on events under our Charity Chic banner, to encourage recycling and reusing in the context of style and fashion
every year we stage the biggest fundraiser in the UK for Christian Aid, our annual Book Sale. Come and see for yourself from 12-18 May - it's the last activity at George Street before building work begins
we're a congregation of creative people - among us are writers, imaginative thinkers, craft workers and artists. We're very hands - on and there are plenty of ways to get involved
music is important to us. We have a talented choir under a gifted musical director who put together a series of concerts and events in our buildings at Festival Time
each week you can hear the oldest peal of bells in Scotland being rung in our George Street building
we take business very seriously. As part of a grouping of city centre churches we support a workplace chaplain, working in shops and offices in the city
we are setting up a link with Malawi - we support the doctor who's director at Mulanje Mission Hospital there, and her staff
we try to be open every day for everyone - for personal quiet time, for daily prayers at 1pm, or for company and a cuppa. and we plan to continue this at Shandwick Place when we move there at the beginning of May.
