| the undercroft
café
The Undercroft is the meeting place beneath
St Andrew’s and St George’s Church, used as a
café during the week and for coffee and gatherings
at other times. It’s a place of friendship and fellowship.
where and when
The undercroft café is open from 10am - 2.30pm (4.30pm during the Festval) Monday
to Friday. It’s beneath the church, either through the
main church doors or via a separate entrance on the east side
of the church, down a ramp suitable for prams or wheelchairs.
ethical food in association with urban angel
Our food is fair trade, organic where possible (we estimate 60-70% at the moment) and sourced as far as possible from local suppliers. Food is simple and fresh - soups, sandwiches, tarts, cakes and coffee and a daily hot special.
volunteering at the undercroft cafe
Volunteering at the Undercroft Café
is a really good way to get to know people from St Andrew’s
and St George’s and from other churches and organisations
in Edinburgh city. We provide basic hygiene training too.
So if you can spare a few hours during the day once a month,
or more often, and would like to be a member of varied team
please contact
us.
